The Hsinchu City Fire Bureau held a "Ambulance Donation Ceremony" at the Xiangshan Fire Division on the 3rd of November, to recognize the philanthropic efforts of Billion Electric, Billion Group, and Billion Watts for their generous contribution to the community.
Billion Group and Billion Watts, adhering to the principle of "giving back to society," have donated a fully equipped ambulance worth NT$4.07 million to the Xiangshan Fire Brigade in Hsinchu City. The donation ceremony was held yesterday (3rd), where Deputy Mayor Chiu Chen-yuan attended on behalf of the city to accept the donation. A certificate of appreciation and a commemorative model of the ambulance were presented to recognize the company's charitable efforts and their commitment to public welfare.
Deputy Mayor Chiu Chen-yuan expressed that ambulance work is one of the most demanding tasks for firefighters. Providing high-quality ambulances and equipment is the best support for paramedics. He thanked Billion Electric Co., Ltd. for their dedication to social welfare, and emphasized that such philanthropic spirit is admirable. The donated ambulance is equipped with an electric stretcher, AED defibrillator, twelve-lead ECG monitor, and a complete set of medical emergency equipment, valued at NT$4.07 million. The introduction of this new ambulance will enhance rescue capabilities, safeguard the lives of citizens, and provide paramedics with better and safer equipment, making Hsinchu a secure and stable city, where residents can live in peace and happiness.

The Director of the Fire Department, Li Shigong, expressed deep appreciation for the community's ongoing support, with generous donations of various disaster relief ambulances and medical equipment. Last year, there were approximately 23,000 emergency medical cases in Hsinchu City, with around 18,000 people transported to medical facilities. Thanks to the tireless efforts and guidance of the fire department's emergency responders, the designated hospitals, and all medical advisory professionals, the emergency rescue survival rate has increased from 18.57% in 2011 to 46.31% in 2023, the highest among all counties and cities in Taiwan. Furthermore, the complete recovery rate has risen from 0.4% in 2011 to 11.07% in 2023, significantly surpassing the national average recovery rate of 6.61%. The Fire Department remains committed to safeguarding the lives and property of the city's citizens, ensuring public safety in Hsinchu City.
The Fire Department also emphasized that the selfless contributions from all sectors have helped enhance their emergency medical capabilities, providing the best possible emergency medical services to citizens. The newly donated ambulances will make emergency rescue operations more efficient and safer for the fire department personnel.
