Founded in 2017, Billion Watts focuses on solar, energy storage, EV charging, and energy monitoring solutions. Leveraging group-wide resources, it provides MIT-branded equipment and localized battery system integration to help clients advance toward net-zero goals through enhanced quality control and technical flexibility.

The company has completed over 1,500 solar projects with a cumulative inverter capacity of 515MW, and its in-house monitoring platform, Pixel View, now oversees more than 550MW. As Taiwan’s leading service provider by number of energy storage deployments, Billion Watts has surpassed 200MW in storage capacity, with a consistent focus on system safety, engineering quality, and practical decarbonization.

Visionary Leadership Recognized

Elaine Chen, Co-founder and General Manager of Billion Watts, brings over a decade of experience across ICT, energy, and power sectors. Under her leadership, the company became one of Taiwan’s first private aggregators to connect storage systems to the grid in 2022.

Chen also spearheaded global market expansion efforts into Japan and Australia, and recently led the successful commissioning of central Taiwan’s largest transmission-grade storage facility, now actively participating in ancillary service markets.

Committed to team development, she has established training programs that enabled 13 staff members to earn Taiwan Power Company’s energy trader certification—building a rare talent base combining engineering execution and dispatch capabilities.
