Billion Watts has become a qualified supplier for both cloud monitoring systems and monitoring equipment, having successfully passed Taiwan Power Company's DREAMS certification.
Billion Watts, a subsidiary of Billion Electric Group, recently announced that its proprietary Pixel View Smart Cloud Monitoring System has successfully passed Taiwan Power Company's Distribution-Level Renewable Energy Management System (DREAMS) certification. This makes it one of the few systems in Taiwan where both the Pixel View Cloud Data System and the PV-Gateway Monitoring Equipment have been certified by Taiwan Power Company. This achievement provides domestic customers with diversified solution options and supports the government's goal of achieving 20% renewable energy generation by 2025.
Founded in 2017, Billion Watts has been deeply engaged in the research and development of grid-level monitoring systems. The company provides comprehensive solutions, including SCADA power monitoring systems for medium to high-voltage transmission levels of 161kV and 69kV, as well as component supply and fiber optic wiring installation. The scope has expanded to include distribution-level systems of 22.8kV and 11.4kV, with the DREAMS hardware and software supply required for solar power plants larger than 1MW.
Considering that solar power plants with capacities exceeding 100kW will require real-time generation data transmission in the future—such as real (or apparent) power generation, power factor, responsibility boundary point voltage, and related settings—Billion Watts utilizes wireless 4G or 5G VPN (Virtual Private Network) communication to transmit this data to the DREAMS platform. The certified Pixel View enterprise-level photovoltaic monitoring system will effectively reduce hardware acquisition and installation costs. Billion Watts is proud to be the first high-quality provider in the country with both monitoring equipment and software certified.
With extensive experience in software and data analysis, Billion Watts leverages data science and advanced AI technologies through its proprietary Pixel View monitoring system. To date, the installation capacity has surpassed 200 MWp. The system enables real-time monitoring of power generation, scheduling of smart inverters, and remote site incident management, allowing for easy operation across multiple sites. Through continuous optimization of AI technologies, the system is now capable of detecting various faults 24/7. Additionally, it uses AI to autonomously learn and analyze results, forecasting potential future power loss. This allows for proactive remote incident management and workforce scheduling, enhancing the overall precision of operations and maintenance.
Currently, we have established direct operation service centers in New Taipei City, Yunlin, and Kaohsiung, staffed with 20 professional engineers, and are in the process of expanding the team. We are capable of resolving equipment malfunctions at project sites within 48 to 72 hours. Additionally, we offer nationwide one-stop monitoring system installation services, including site surveys, connection testing, fault troubleshooting, and after-sales technical support.
