Billion Group officially completed a joint venture with Noon Spare Technology in April of this year. The image showcases Noon Spare Energy Technology’s fully automated battery production facility located in Tanzi, Taichung City, Taiwan.
In the midst of the global energy revolution, the Ministry of Economic Affairs has assessed the increasing electricity demand driven by the AI boom, forecasting an average annual growth rate of 3% over the next 5 to 10 years. The rise in AI's electricity consumption has garnered significant attention from the industry. However, building a traditional power plant takes six years, whereas a solar power plant can be completed in just two years. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has expressed concerns, stating that "power limitations are a challenge." Will Taiwan have enough power to meet demand?
Billion Group (TW: 3027), with over 50 years of experience in power electronics and network communication technology, has made strategic investments in "VGwatt Energy" and "Noon Spare Energy Technology " The company is actively advancing the localization of photovoltaic inverters and Energy Storage Systems (ESS), collaborating on key technologies to strengthen Taiwan's position in the global market. Billion Group aims to expand its reach to international markets, targeting the U.S., Japan, Australia, and beyond for overseas sales.

U.S. Tariff Policy Opens New Export Opportunities for Taiwan's MIT Products
Billion Electric's Chairman, Tim Chen, highlighted that the US announced in May an increase in tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles and batteries, with tariffs on electric vehicles rising from 25% to 100% and batteries from 7.5% to 25%. This move provides a new export opportunity for Taiwan-made MIT (Made in Taiwan) photovoltaic inverters and energy storage equipment. The group's strategic investment in VGwatt Energy and Noon Spare Energy Technology has accelerated its integration efficiency and complete quality supply chain. Since June this year, the group has begun exporting nearly 22 sets of its own Taiwan-manufactured MIT 100kW/215kWh commercial charging and energy storage units to three island nations. Chairman Tim Chen emphasized that energy storage involves complex, interdisciplinary, and location-specific technological integration. The group, along with its partners, is committed to advancing Taiwan-made products globally, offering cutting-edge photovoltaic and energy storage technologies and services.
