Billion Watts is one of the subsidiaries of Billion Electric Group (TSE: 3027). Since 2012, Billion Electric has begun to develop and produce the IoT (Internet of Things) products for intelligent energy management and combining over 50 years’ technologies of power electronics and ICT (information and communication technology). Joined by the Institute for Information Industry, Billion Watts provides the energy monitoring solutions for solar energy, schools, fish farms, apartment buildings, fast-food restaurants, power companies, factories, electric bicycle charging stations and other ESCO AC-side energy monitoring solutions. Our agent distribution channels cover North America, Western Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia (Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore), and South Africa.
About Billion Watts
Billion Watts was established in 2017, a new green energy policy was declared: "Achieving a power generating structure with 20% renewable energy, 50% natural gas, and 30% coal-fired, in 2025.” The government was eager to promote national energy independence and a nuclear-free homeland by increasing the number of renewable energy installations to 20GWp. Thus, PV solar has become a long-term alternative energy solution to boost domestic solar upstream industry and private power plants investment. In 2017, Billion Watts was also invested and established by Billion Electric to provide high-quality equipment and professional engineering services to assist Taiwan’s solar energy value chain, including roof and landowners, investors, engineering contractors, maintenance operators, etc., creating industry-leading quality, safety and efficiency solar power stations to achieve the goal of energy sustainability.

Scaling Deployment and O&M Scale
Billion Watts continues to scale its behind-the-meter energy storage (BTM) and integrated smart energy services. To date, the company has delivered and operates 308 MW / 817 MWh of energy storage assets, supporting energy-intensive sectors such as semiconductors, textiles, and printing.
2024
- Billion Watts delivered services across more than 20 energy storage sites nationwide, maintaining the largest deployment scale in Taiwan.
- In the same year, Billion Watts successfully completed Taiwan’s largest transmission-level e-dReg energy storage project, with a total installed capacity of 64 MW, marking a major milestone in utility-scale grid services.
2023
- Billion Watts’ Energy Storage Market Share Surpassed 10%
- At Energy Taiwan, Billion Watts debuted its proprietary commercial-industrial integrated energy storage system along with the ESS Intelligent Energy Monitoring Platform, showcasing its full-stack smart energy capabilities.
2022
- With certified power trading platform personnel, Billion Watts formally entered the electricity bidding market under a resource aggregation model, becoming the first domestic provider to aggregate and dispatch grid-connected energy storage resources in Taiwan.
2021
- The company launched large-scale ground-mounted 69 kV and 161 kV step-up substations, integrated with medium- and high-voltage SCADA monitoring systems and PV O&M management platforms, enabling comprehensive visibility into plant performance and generation efficiency.
- Billion Watts also completed its first MW-scale grid-level AFC frequency regulation and reserve energy storage system, officially qualifying as a private-sector participant in Taipower’s Ancillary Services Market.
2020
- Billion Watts developed Pixel View, an enterprise-grade solar power plant monitoring system with proprietary intellectual property. The platform has since been adopted by multiple institutional solar investors, reinforcing its reliability and scalability.
2019
- The company introduced comprehensive end-to-end power plant services, covering system design and planning, installation guidance, grid connection configuration, equipment warranty, and after-sales technical support, delivering a fully integrated solution under one platform.
2017
- Billion Watts was founded
- Billion Watts became an authorized distributor of SolarEdge, the world’s No. 1 solar inverter brand by revenue, headquartered in Israel and listed on NASDAQ in 2015, marking the company’s entry into the global renewable energy ecosystem.
