Billion Watts participates in this year's International Smart Energy Week, showcasing solar monitoring equipment, energy storage cabinets, distribution equipment, and Energy Management Systems (EMS), as well as electric boat energy storage solutions, targeting opportunities in the green shipping industry
Billion Electric (3027-TW) has officially entered its energy storage transformation phase this year. In addition to the current dReg energy storage equipment orders, the company has secured a major order for 100MW of E-dReg energy transfer-type storage equipment, bringing its total order backlog to 220MW. Chairman Tim Chen stated that with the growth of its energy storage business, the company expects substantial revenue growth next year.
Tim Chen, President of Billion Electric, stated that due to the ongoing development of energy storage projects this year, the revenue from green energy storage equipment will exceed 50% of the total revenue, driving double-digit growth for the company. With the acceleration of energy storage project construction and equipment sales next year, the company expects to enter a period of rapid revenue growth. Elaine Chen, Associate Director at Billion Watts, the energy storage division of Billion Electric, pointed out that a 60MW dReg energy storage project will be completed next year, with the remainder expected to be finished the following year. Additionally, the 100MW E-dReg energy storage order will begin construction in 2024. This type of energy storage equipment is larger in scale and will be recognized in phases across different project stages, contributing to the company’s mid- to long-term growth.
Elaine Chen stated that the dReg energy storage system is used for 15-minute short-term frequency regulation. Since the E-dReg requires 2-4 hours of discharge, the demand for batteries will be three times that of dReg, thus leading to a greater need for energy storage cabinets and significantly higher revenue contributions.
Additionally, Elaine Chen highlighted that they are also joining Taiwan Power Company's "Solar + Energy Storage" project, known as "Solar-Storage Integration." They have partnered with solar power investors across Taiwan and aim to establish 5-10 MW solar-storage sites annually, with plans to complete several installations by the end of next year.
